Barack Obama yes we can super tuesday speech
15 February 2008, Chicago, Illinois
For Barack Obama Super Tuesday was the day for his prolific yes we can speech. Super Tuesday is the day in every presidential election year when the greatest number of US states hold primary elections to select their delegates to the national conventions at which each party’s candidates are officially nominated. In 2008, 24 states held primaries or caucuses on this date, with just over half of all pledged Democratic Party delegates being selected. It was in Obama's yes we can speech that Barack Obama introduced the slogan ‘Yes we can’. Barack Obama delivered his yes we can speech. Obama spoke before knowing whether he had won the nomination.
